We are so excited to begin offering events at Oakleaf Cottage and at the Barn. We have several upcoming events in the works, so please check back!
Fall Forest Bathing – October 22nd, 3pm
Join us in an introduction to the practice of Japanese Forest Bathing (shinrin-yoku). Shinrin-yoku is popular in Japan, where studies have measured changes in immune markers and stress hormones in people who regularly engage in the practice. Take a few hours and engage all five senses on a guided walk through the forest, enjoy site-made tea and refreshments, practicing breathing exercises and fully engaging with the beauty of the wild.
Shinrin-yoku is best done with smaller groups, so we’re capping attendance at 20 folks.
Are you a local crafter, writer, artist, musician, field guide or chef? We want to talk to you! Our desire is to have one event per month offering workshops, learning opportunities, cultural experiences, and practical (or even impractical) new skills. For now, we’d like to keep these workshops fairly small at about 20 persons maximum.
If you are interested in having a meeting, event, learning seminar, or gathering at Oakleaf, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for information on pricing, availability, and more.
