Outdoor Mountain Wedding Locations
We offer two sites for your ceremony under the trees
Choose between the Forest View or Mountainside Site -- or use both for different phases of your event.
Weddings with a Forest View
Just steps from the Cottage is the Forest View site. Completely swathed in leafy green (or gold, in the case of Fall) from mid-April through mid-November, it reveals a secret in the cooler months: a view of the next mountain range and the valley below.
This site is roomy, easily offering seating space for 115 guests, a lounge/welcome area for your guests pre-ceremony, and still offers room for your DJ or a string quartet.
A flagstone dais rests at the end, presided over by a 100 year old Oak tree.
Some couples have opted to have their ceremony at the Mountainside site, and have their reception dinner al-fresco under the lights here at the Forest View location. The experience is magical.

Weddings on a Mountainside
Adjacent to the mossy, rocky shoulder of Lookout Mountain, sited conveniently right behind the Stable Barn, is a site perfect for weddings of 100 or fewer. As you step out of the barn, the rocks rise to your right, the forest and next mountain range fall to your left, and a trail through the forest winds ahead.
Smaller weddings of 60 or fewer can opt to turn the ceremony to the right or left, for a backdrop of mountains or mossy rocks.
The Mountainside site is also where we can add our clear tent for additional shelter for an additional charge -- offering a breathtaking space for a dance floor and a band, or perfect for an intimate dinner reception in this location.
All of our spaces are flexible, and the Mountainside has been used for some elaborate cocktail hours with guests such as alpacas, professional performances, or multiple lounges set up.

Our Location
Oakleaf is conveniently located near Chattanooga TN, bordering Cloudland Canyon State Park. We are an easy and scenic 24-minute drive from downtown Chattanooga, and an even 2 hours from Atlanta, Nashville, Knoxville and Birmingham. Please inquire for a list of nearby accommodations. Our 28-acre grounds ideally accommodate events for up to 115 guests.
