Welcome Drinks for Guests Set the Stage

What screams "welcome to our wedding!" better than being handed a glass of champagne upon arrival?

The Welcome Drink, as we call is, is a fantastic way to set the tone for your wedding, be it formal or casual.

And of course, it need not be champagne.

In cooler months we've had warm apple cider or mulled wine served to guests, something that warms their hands and feels quintessential to Fall or early Winter.

In warm months, we've had spritzers made with vermouth, or a soju-mojito that feels so fresh and cooling.

If you are one of our couples, you have access to our list of "Dade Approved" cocktails we created using saki, soju, port, vermouth, beer, champagne etc. -- soju is a lot of fun, as most people are unfamiliar with it, which adds a touch of excitement at having something new, mixed into a delightful cocktail.

Welcome drinks do not have to contain alcohol. Simply having your caterer set out water for guests to enjoy (in some of our pretty glasses) still perfectly says "we thought of you, and we're so glad you are here." A twist of lemon or fruit water dresses it up a little more. Some weddings have opted for tea or lemonade to go with their wedding colors (like pink lemonade!).

Whatever you serve, even if it's just water in a pretty glass, it is always, always classy.
