Sustainable Wedding featured in Southern Bride

On March 14, while celebrating another Atlanta wedding couple at our venue, we got a text from Chattanooga wedding cake maker extraordinnare Sierra's Cakewerks letting us know that one of our sustainable weddings from last year was featured in The Southern Bride!
In all the COVID-19 chaos that ensued later that day and in the first weeks that followed, we never truly had a moment to have a look at what Southern Bride shared about Becca and Louie's absolute stunner of a wedding.
Green weddings are so important to us here at Oakleaf, and to many of our couples as well. Here is how Becca and Louie did it:
Becca is an artist - this boho wedding was so amazing! She made the plates, and the candle cups as seen on their head table:
Cake was enjoyed on bamboo plates (compostable!) and all flatware for the event was also compostable bamboo.
Let's have a look at that cake -- we ALWAYS highly recommend Sierra's Cakewerks -- her cakes are as delicious as they are beautiful. Get a look of those guilded dried orange slices and fruit!
As gardeners ourselves, the wedding favors of wildflower seeds were truly near and dear to our hearts:

Becca's dad made the arbor, and gifted it to us! It's been sanded and re-stained and is now the "Becca Arbor."
The rug is mentioned in the story, but one of the best Friends In Action stories wasn't known: Becca and Louie had forgotten to pack it and discovered that fact on Friday night, to some distress. Their wonderful friends drove all the way back to Atlanta in the middle of the night and got it.
Becca's dress, from Elizabeth Dye had all the softness of French Linen, the perfect touch to a Bohemian-style, relaxed wedding:
We have so many favorite details about this wedding. We loved the bridesmaids dresses, varying in color and tone from peach to rust:
And the dessert display of donut holes served in paper cones (you can never eat just one anyway):
This was definitely one of our favorite weddings!

We always hear about wanting ideas for bridemaids photos -- this is a classic:
