Your wedding guests are your special people, the ones you love most in all the world. You want them to feel comfortable and loved back on your wedding day. What are five easy things you can do to make them feel that love in return?

  1. A Welcome Drink: Nothing says "welcome to our wedding" and "we thought of you" as elegantly as having refreshments available for your guests upon arrival. This can be as simple as water, as unexpected as a hot chai in Fall, or as celebratory as a glass of champagne.

  2. Let Them Know What to Expect: A sign with the highlights of the evening lets guests know if they have time for another drink, excuse themselves for a moment, when dinner/dancing begins.. or even if there's a hint of a surprise/special entertainment to watch for. Who doesn't love a little suspense?

  3. Serve Food That Isn't Messy: We've all been there. Dressed nice, trying to make an impression, meeting new people, and worried about making a mess of yourself. This also holds true for cocktail hour where a guest is juggling their drink and an appetizer: choose something that can be eaten neatly and quickly so your guest can be ready to hug or handshake at any given moment, without fear of sticky/oily/powdery fingers.

  4. Where to Sit: This doesn't need to be a full escort display, but letting guests know which table they will be seated at eases any concerns of choosing the "wrong table" for various and sundry reasons. Nobody wants to accidentally sit where family or close friends should be, or feel like they chose the wrong spot to be.

  5. An Evening Snack: After hours of dancing, dinner may be long gone. Having your caterer set out to-go bags of easily transported munchies for guests to grab before hitting the road is welcome.
